Recent reviews of Memory Care in Miami, FL
Presidential Place in Hollywood, FL
4.0

The staff has been great and they really do go over and beyond what they need to do. They offer a lot of activities, but mom has not got involved yet. I feel that they keep the community clean. I like that it has a home like feel to it. When you walk in it reminds me of a boutique hotel.

Cutler Bay Village in Miami, FL
4.7

Cutlet Bay ALF has a homey atmosphere. The employees are all caring professionals with great bedside manner. My Mom, with some dementia, adjusted quickly. She is well cared for and safe. The facility itself is very clean and cheery. I would highly recommend this facility.

Victoria Villa in Davie, FL
5.0

Mom is receiving one on one attention at Victoria Villa. The staff are very attentive and they are always there to keep her from falling. She likes the food and they keep the community clean. This is a smaller community and the staff are very encouraging. They do not let the residents sit in their room all day they help get them out and socializing. I would recommend this community.

Step 2: Identify the best memory care options in Miami, Florida for your needs

To help you narrow down your options and choose the best memory care facility near you, some factors to consider include:

  • Memory care ratings and reviews. Our community reviews are submitted by people who have direct experience with the community. As you find memory care communities that interest you, read through the reviews: Do people have positive things to say about the community and their loved one’s experience there?
  • State licensing and regulations. Memory care communities are regulated by the state. Many states make information about community licensing, inspections, and violations available to the public. Is the community accredited? How long has it held this designation? Has the facility passed an inspection recently?
  • Specialized design. Does the community have wayfinding features, like signage and clearly marked doorways? If your loved one likes the outdoors, does the community have a healing garden or secure outdoor space?
  • Staff trained in dementia care. What specialized training do employees have? What’s the staff-to-resident ratio? Is the community staffed 24/7?
  • Memory care facility features and amenities. Does the community fit your loved one’s interests? For example, if they’re religious, is there an on-site chapel? If they value pampering and self-care, is there a beauty salon or barbershop?
  • Memory care activities. While cognitive therapies – like pet therapy and music therapy – can’t cure dementia, they can help stave off its progression and keep seniors alert and entertained. Consider asking communities if you can view a memory care activities calendar to see if there are singalongs, game nights, and supervised outings to keep your loved one socially involved.

Step 3: Compare the costs of memory care near Miami, Florida

How much does memory care cost in Miami, Florida? The answer varies based on location, floorplan options, amenities, and the level of care your loved one needs. Memory care facility costs in your area typically range between 1,505 to 0, with an average monthly cost for memory care of 3,900.
