Our Senior Care Partners
Any care provider that offers housing and supportive services to elderly
and/or disabled individuals, including home care, independent living
communities, residential care homes, nursing homes, Alzheimer's care
centers and assisted living communities, is eligible to be included on
our website provided that those providers are licensed, as required by
the state in which they operate. Some types of providers are not required
to be licensed and therefore no licensure requirement is needed in these
cases. The care providers that are included on our website pay us a fee
to be listed. If a provider fails to maintain appropriate state licensure,
that provider may be removed from our website. We impose no requirements
on the partner providers as to the manner in which they deliver services
to residents. Each provider listed on our service has agreed to charge
our clients in the same way they charge other clients of the same care
level.
Our Services
We help families evaluate the type of care needed by an elderly person
including an assessment of issues such as care requirements, finances
and amenity preferences. Once we determine the individual's needs and
preferences, we identify the senior care providers in our participant
group which we determine could potentially meet those needs and
preferences. The names of those providers are shared to the individual
and/or family member. We also will forward the individual's name and
pertinent information to the provider(s) along with a request for direct
contact from the provider(s).
Quality Assessment of Senior Care Providers
Due to the complicated and constantly changing healthcare delivery systems
of our providers, we exercise no independent judgments as to the quality
of the provider(s) nor do we endorse any provider. We believe and are
committed to educating family members on how to assess quality care so
that they can make good decisions today and every day after a loved one is
placed in a provider.
Our Commitment
A Place for Mom is committed to helping families understand their senior
housing needs and providing a variety of options and choices in obtaining
care and services for loved ones. Consequently, A Place for Mom is not
owned or affiliated or related in any way with any of the providers listed
on our website, except through the fee the provider pays A Place for Mom
to be included.
