Can I claim tax deduction for parent if I pay expenses?

My parent earns more than $3200/m in retirememt. A relative has FULL legal control of parent income, and provides NO contribution to CNA, or medical/dental services. I provide full expense costing for my parent. Question - Can I claim the deduction, even though parent income above $3200 month? I have been doing this for more than 12 months in Virginia

Tax deduction is a reduction of income that is able to be taxed, and is commonly a result of expenses, particularly those incurred to produce additional income. The difference between deductions, exemptions and credit is that deductions and exemptions both reduce taxable income, while credits reduce tax.
