What medicine can help with calling out at night and anxiety?

My mother is 86 years old, has suffered from multiple TIAs and has a heart condition. In the last year she has began unconsciously calling out for help while she sleeps and has generalized anxiety during the day to a small degree but increased anxiety at night, making her restless. The restlessness causes her to not sleep well and then be tired all day, wanting to stay in bed and become depressed. She seems to have vascular dementia and I want to give her a medication that will help, not be a negative to her heart valve condition, and not make her more foggy, zombie-like or increase depression. Any suggestions?

Xanax has been known to help with bad dreams and also aids in sleep for the elderly. .5 mil tablet maybe even cut in half should help or the time release tablet might be effective. Good luck. This has helped me alot as a senior man myself.
