Is there a law that parents have to give their assets equally?

No. Parents are free to leave their assets to their children however they wish and may even disinherit a child. There are some limited protections in the law for minor or disabled children, but in general individuals wide latitude in disposing of their estate.

Their assets are theirs to give as they wish.
If they wanted all of theire assets to go to one sibling and there are 4 there might be cause to contest the will. But contesting a will is a bit tricky as well.
If they were of sound mind when the will was drawn up, signed and witnessed then that is the way they wished their assets to be divided. If later on someone pressured them after they became incapacitated there might be a reason to contest the will.
You should talk to a lawyer and better yet the one that drew up the will.
