Yoga is a great option for the elderly and there is a lot of research to support this. Depending on her current medical status and physical ability, I would recommend finding a group geared toward the older population. The people in charge of these groups have experience adapting and modifying the poses to be the most benefit. Look at community centers, senior centers or even your local physical rehabilitation center or hospital for groups. Group exercise is (obviously) healthy, fun, builds a community of friends and will keep her active.
