How can I get my elderly dad to stop yelling at mom?

How can I get my father to stop yelling at my mom all the time? He has always been a yeller, but as they get older, he is getting worse. He would never hurt her physically but now that she can't really go anywhere she is stuck listening to it all the time, I am worried for her mental health and their relationship.

A physician can write a home health order for Behavioral Health.
Some home health agencies will be able to staff a Psych RN who can evaluate the situation and offer coping techniques and even medication management when prescribed by MD.

Home Healthcare is one of the few things Medicare pays 100% for with no co-pays or deductibles in an effort to help seniors maintain their highest level of function while preventing unnecessary hospitalizations.

Is his yelling getting worse because his hearing is worse? Or is there other medical reasons for the increase in yelling.
Are you sure that he would never physically hurt her? This is something that you may want to watch a bit more and my guess is your Mom would not say anything.
Anyway he might be a good candidate for an evaluation maybe medication would help his agitation and stress level. (I know probably impossible to get him to see someone but see if his doctor could suggest it as part of a routine physical.)
