Living with a parent as a caregiver is a big step but having a plan in place is a good idea. I often equate living with a parent as a caregiver to raising a child. You must be on most of the time, have a backup plan for caregiving if necessary, etc. There are many resources available for respite care, often locally through your Agency on Aging (which you can find here: http://www.n4a.org/
. It is not for everyone to live under the same roof but I find those who make a plan ahead of time, pre-crisis or exhaustion, are the most successful.
