Are you moving him closer to you?
The easiest thing to do might be to go yourself and drive him.
You can help supervise the movers and the drive will be a chance to talk.
If you don't have a vehicle that can easily transport him you can rent a van that might make it easier.
Keep in mind the trip may take longer than it normally would as you may have to make stops and getting him in and out of the vehicle may make any stop take a bit longer.
Travel and change can be upsetting and is stressful so try to make it as easy as possible.
If it would be easier to travel by air notify the airline that he will need a wheelchair and help on and off the flight. But you should be with him as well. (if not you someone else that he knows and trusts)
