How do I feel less guilty for being in better health than my peers?

My twin brother and my two best friends are the same age as I (70) but both have diabetes, high blood pressure and are unable to continue activities we have always enjoyed as a group. I have none of those things because I have always eaten right and excersized. Sometimes I feel guilty, sometimes I just want to say I told you so! But then I feel guilty for thinkging that also.

The only way I expect you will feel less guilty is if you really do some soul searching to find out why. You have taken care of yourself and have your health, a blessing you should be proud of and excited for. Don't squander your vitality, appreciate and enjoy it. You certainly don't need to rub it in the face of your peers, but you can be supportive of them caring for themselves properly and enjoy their company at the level they are capable of achieving.
