My dad passed a year ago and was a vet what type of housing expense help is there for mom's dementia? Looking for what type of financial help there is for my mother with dementia for housing in a comunity/memmory care. She has had some bad days recently where we are afraid to leave her by her self. She lives with my sister who works full time and we do have some agency "help/freinds"that come in and we talked to them and they are going to increase the days they are going to stop by ,..My dad passed away about a year ago and was a vet..

Look into the Aid and Attendance Benefit for your Mom, it is a little known benefit for veterans or their spouses of service members that served during a time of war. The VA is very resistant to giving out this information, but you can look it up online. It pays up to 1700 a month for care in an assisted living or memory care unit.
