There is no exact answer to your question. The standard answer I give families is 4-6 months processing for the Veteran's Aid and Attendance benefit.

Be sure to work with someone knowledgable about the benefit you are applying for and to submit an application only when you are certain that it is absolutely complete. The fastest way to lengthen the process is to fill out a form incorrectly or to omit required documentation. The VA works by USPS, and, should an additional form be required, you may have weeks of back and forth to resolve the issue.

The average time to award for our clients is 4 months. this average includes those who file with more than $80,000 which we see taking 10-12 months, so those with under $80,000 are usually granted in 4 months or less.
