My mom needs 24 hour dementia care, can you suggest a daytime caregiver?

we are having a hard time keeping a caregiver during the day hours. My mom gets physically aggressive at times and verbally tells the sitters to go home. We have been hiring sitters by word of mouth. My sisters don't want to change this process. Our night time sitter is awsome. I am extremely frustrated. Suggestions please?

It's hard to give you a detailed answer without knowing your location. There are several nationwide homecare companies including Comfort Keepers and Visting Angels. If you would like to give A Place for Mom a call we can put you in touch with an Advisor who is familiar with your area, our number is 866-568-2989.

At A Place For Mom, we only work with licensed agencies. Often, families feel by hiring caregivers through "word of mouth" is less expensive, but they are taking a risk. Agencies may be a little more expensive, but you are working with caregivers that have received a background check, proper training, and are accountable for their time. If the caregiver cannot work on a certain day, the agency can easily send a substitute. Also, by working with an agency, you are covered if there is an injury to the caregiver. Take the time to research some Home Care Agencies who service your area through a Place For Mom.
