Is there financial assistance for assisted living in Utah?

I am paying for my mother to live in an assisted living facility in Sandy, Utah. The cost increases yearly. Currently I am paying about $65,000/year. I am depleting my retirement funds. My mother only receives $921/month social security. Is there any financial assistance available for assisted living?

There may be financing options depending on the situation, for example if the senior is a veteran or spouse of a veteran. Please give us a call at 866-568-2989 and we would be happy to put you in touch with a Senior Living Advisor who specializes in the Sandy area and is familiar with financing options available for local assisted living communities.

That sounds expensive and financial assistance for non-medical living is limited. Some non profits offer grants ( around $1000 to $2000 ) which only helps a bit but usually the best option is to find another assisted living community at a lower cost.
