Former VP of Sales and Marketing of Brookdale Senior Living joins A Place for Mom
Seattle, WA – September 24, 2008 – A Place for Mom a nationwide senior care referral service for options such as assisted living and nursing homes, announced today that John Schwaner joined the senior management team as Vice President of National Partnership Sales. Schwaner will focus on growing national accounts through the development of strategic partnerships for the major business lines of A Place for Mom, including the company's proprietary lead tracking software designed specifically for the senior housing industry, You've Got Leads.

Schwaner is a thirteen year veteran of the senior housing industry. Most recently he was with Brookdale Senior Living where he managed the sales and marketing efforts of over 100 senior housing communities. Before Brookdale, Schwaner lead the sales efforts at American Retirement Corporation. Prior to this Schwaner was the vice president of sales at SunHealth Group. He also served as the vice president of sales and marketing at Merrill Gardens. Schwaner began his career with Johnson and Johnson working in direct sales of surgery devices and wound care.
Schwaner hold a Bachelors of Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Massachusetts. He also has an executive Masters in Business Administration from Belmont University in Nashville Tennessee.
