About Lori

Lori has been a sales professional throughout her career. Her first position was as a buyer for the Dayton’s Company where she learned that the customer is always right. After years in retail she moved over to wholesale and eventually went on to sell developmental infant toys. Most recently she has been working with corporate clients in a small business that transfers old audio and video formats into digital files. Lori stepped away from her career 10 years ago when her mother’s health began to deteriorate. She and her family have taken the journey of senior living three times since then. After a long stay in a rehabilitation facility Lori brought her mother to her home and became a Personal Care Attendant. When it came time for Lori to once again focus on her career she searched for a way to use her sales background and the experience with her parents to make a difference in the lives of others. Knowing the isolation that she felt when the lives of her loved ones suddenly changed she wants to be there for others in that same situation. Lori comes to A Place for Mom to be an advocate, to help families when they need it the most.

What I'm passionate about:

We go to a lake home located in the town where my dad was born and raised. It is the retirement home that my parents owned. Family gathers there at different times all summer long and we relax and catch up. I love to ride our jet ski. I was raised in, and was lucky enough to raise my on children in, a wonderful church community; I teach a pre-school Sunday school class there. I love my Zumba class, we meet twice a week and I make every effort not to miss it!

A Note From Lori

"The most important thing that I discovered while caring for my parents is that there is no "one" right way. Moms, dads, grandmas, and grandpas are all individuals first. Families are all different, some are solid and on the same page, others lose focus and find it difficult to agree. Every situation requires a different resolution. It’s hard to switch roles, for the child to become the parent, but often times that must happen in order for your loved one to be safe and cared for to the best of your ability. I will do my best to help you make the right transition for your loved one."
