‘‘‘Ohana means family. And family means no one gets left behind.’ As a young girl I remember walking with my mother down from our home to an elderly neighbor's home to bring meals, help him with his dog & small tasks around his house. We both always left him with a smile on his face, joy in his heart and his dog wagging his tail. These daily visits helped keep him from feeling so lonely. And now as a woman I find great joy in assisting elderly people feel cared for by listening to what is important to them as they prepare for the changes that they face.
Having recently experienced a life changing decision to provide personal
home care for my Father-in-Law during his last five month's of his battle with cancer I realized something. It was more important to make sure Dad knew he was loved and that we would be there until the end of his time here. I resigned from the busy world of mine to enter his daily regimented & extremely difficult world. And I found this decision to be the most fulfilling, exhausting, and rewarding! Dad stopped me the day before his passing, held my hand and said, ‘Thank you for all that you have done for me and Mom.’ Because of this emotional & motivational experience I have made it goal to provide excellent service to both families and their loved ones. Janette has served in the residential property management and customer service industry for over 15 years. She volunteers as a youth mentor and loves being an Eldercare Advisor. She has an eye for detail that helps her to understand what to look for in finding just the right place for you and wishes to provide exceptional service. Janette's educational back ground is in Business Management as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Biblical Studies. This has equipped her with a balance of knowledge and compassion to assist those of you in the process of this life changing journey. She has traveled as a missionary throughout much of the United States, including foreign countries such as Barcelona, Spain during the Olympics, France, Mexico and China. This has allowed a great appreciation for diverse cultures, languages, families, and the importance of good communication during difficult circumstances. She helps gently transition you into a new way of life that you may not have been prepared to experience.
