Mom Gets Settled in for Springtime
I found Vista Care while looking online for a site for my mom, who is 94 years old and has Alzheimer's. It turned out to be close to the previous place she was living and not hard to find. With a front electric gate, I found it to be secure and in a pleasant country setting. The house has room for about six guests so they all get the attention they need. We had a scheduled appointment with the owner/operator and were told what we could expect, and scheduled our next appointment when my mother could see the place. She was very pleased, and because one shared room was available, we were able to move her in within a week. After a few adjustments on my mom's part due to her dementia, she has come to know and like everyone at Vista Care. WE appreciate the caring staff, cleanliness, and extra attention to see that her desires are accommodated, such as her "tea time," a plus for an Aussie like her! We have continued to visit and make her feel at home with photo albums and a book on Australia she enjoys, and occasional trips out to breakfast or to get her hair done. The owner/operator has been redecorating and spring cleaning in the guests' rooms, so the house is airy and cheerful, and the back patio has become a favorite late afternoon family visiting spot for us, including a few long distance phone calls to keep other relatives in touch with her. Vista Care has been a good change for my mother, one she is getting used to and now enjoys.

I toured the Vista Care in Vista, California. It was a very clean facility. Everyone was friendly. The value was excellent. The care services were great. There was a variety of activities. This is a great place.
