Extremely happy living at Vi at Highlands Ranch
Every community has room for improvement and is continuously worked upon here at Vi. That is a huge plus for Vi. The employees and staff are genuine and truly care for the residents. Vi is a beautiful property. We live in a cottage and are so thrilled to enjoy all the amenities and still have full independence. We moved to Vi to be proactive in making sound retirement decisions. The Care Center was our focus and decision maker. The Care Center is the best in CO. We truly love all the residents at Vi like family. The staff deserve immense credit for keeping us all so active and involved with each other. The restaurant surpasses many of the best. We can not say enough about the quality of our community and the other residents. The sales team was sincere and most helpful in assisting us with our lifetime final investment. We have lived here 3 years now (2-2021) and love it more every day.

VI- creative living with great food and careful covid-rules
My husband and I have lived here for almost 2 years. I read the previous review about the Covid-19 related restrictions. All within Tri-County regulations. Unlike other Nursing home situations, our extended care has had very few Covid-19 cases. We are in independent living. The service is truly excellent. The menu for take out is extensive and varied with weekly and daily specials. When you call, ask for our 3 page menu! There are more choices and substitutions than almost any restaurant. Chef engages weekly with residents to hear comments. The Activities Department is truly creative and continually coming up with things to do that are fun and no risk. There are great walks on the grounds and a wonderful gulley/moraine adjacent. We have clubs and informal groups and a library with ever changing resources. COST: Before you choose a senior living facility, it is truly important to list ALL of your monthly costs and maintenance plans. We did and found we are SAVING money living here. The washer dryer in our unit was replaced in 24 hours with a fabulous LG pair. Appliance repairs happen same day. Snow is shoveled up to your door if you live in a cottage. The staff really care and like to know you personally. Our daughters did the tour at several places and campaigned heavily for Vi--we agree, best choice. We love the smaller community. AND, our dining room is open again for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

A friendly and supportive community at Vi
My wife and I are so glad we moved to Vi three years ago -- to be closer to our granddaughters. At Vi, we have found a lovely community of new friends. During the covid months, the Vi staff provided activities and support for our comfort and they kept our days lively and interesting. In normal times, Vi's combination of delicious dining in a fine-restaurant atmosphere -- and the stimulating activities hosted by Vi -- has resulted in our making new friends and discovering new interests. The view of the Rocky Mountains from the balcony of our 2-bedroom apartment is breathtaking. There is a wide range of excellent shopping and lovely Colorado destinations nearby. And Denver's cultural venues are an easy drive or light-rail ride away. As a Type A CCRC, Vi gives us the security of knowing that -- if and when needed -- we can transfer to assisted, memory or skilled care without facing an increase in the monthly fee we are then paying for Independent Living.

A friendly CCRC community with beautiful Rocky Mtn views
My wife and I are mid-70s and we've happily lived here at Vi for 3 years. We moved from Seattle for the beautiful location and to be near our granddaughters (age 8 and 4). We've been delighted at Vi. It's such a friendly community with plenty of activities -- and delicious dinners and luncheons -- conducive to making and keeping new friends. During the covid crisis, the Public Health dept ordered all Senior communities to cut back on large group gatherings indoors, so the Vi staff organized new activities outdoors, and on closed-circuit TV and online. ...So much better than struggling to survive covid alone without support staff in an isolated house. At Vi, we're really enjoying our gorgeous view of the Rockies from our private balcony. And the pricing here is competitive with other top-flight 5-star Senior Communities that are Type A (with the right to move into the assisted, memory or skilled care center - when needed - at the same price then being paid for Independent Living).

Spending your last years in solitary confinement
Prior to the pandemic, my family’s experience was wonderful. Recently however, changes to visitation, access to outside medical care and limitations on promised social opportunities have caused serious medical harm to my mothers mental and physical well-being as well as tremendous distress to our family. The whole premise of my parents investment in this center is greatly undermined. My mother has even repeatedly stated she was considering hospice because the Solitary confinement/isolation Was unbearable and/or abandoning the Vi entirely. Think very carefully before investing in this facility during these uncertain times. You may find yourself or your loved one spending their last days entirely alone, exactly the opposite of what the Vi advertises itself as proving. As an example, current rules for the care center, snf and assisted living limit “permit” one 20 minute visit by 2 direct family members every two weeks at the most. Beware!

I Love Living at Vi of Highlands Ranch
I have lived here for 7 years. One of the best decisions I have ever made. I am in independent living, but have had 3 major surgeries in the past 7 years. Each time went to our 5 star care center and had the best care anybody could ask for. If a resident is unhappy here they are free to leave, We are a continuing care community. with Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing and Memory Care. I plan to make this my "Last Stop".

It's been very nice here. I have been debating about going to another facility and decided to go ahead and remain here. It's been more than I anticipated it to be. I enjoy being here. Great facility.
