What had impressed me the first time I toured the facility is that [name removed](manager/owner) knew every single resident by name, they came into his office to speak directly to him and they were treated like his family. He even had special snacks in his desk to give them. They have a wonderful Staff that are friendly and very accommodating to our special requests/needs. \nMy dad ended up passing away Christmas Eve and they were so kind to us after he was picked up. One of the sweet ladies there (that has worked there 19 years!) took us into the lounge and gave us cookies and coffee that she had brought in for her coworkers as we sat and processed what had just happened. That was such an endearing act of kindness that we could never thank her enough for.\n[name removed] is an angel , he rescued my dad from a horrible rehabilitation facility. Valley Comfort is a family owned and operated community for the elderly. The first facility was opened in February 1989 starting out as a six bed home. Glenda Gaither’s grandmother had suffered a stroke in 1987 and was moved into a nursing home in Fresno, after her aunt could no longer provide care for her at home. After visiting her grandmother several times, Glenda knew there had to be a better way to care for elderly people while still giving them the quality of life they deserved. Glenda spoke with a relative that was already in the business and found out what needed to be done to start a facility. Shortly after, Glenda opened up a six bed home to fulfill her dream of putting compassion and quality into elderly care. Today Valley Comfort is a 92 bed community. It has continued to be a family owned and operated facility that provides assisted living for elderly as well as memory impaired residents.
