About the facility Traditions at Brookside
Enjoy the peace and quiet beauty that can only be found at Traditions at Brookside. This charming community is nestled among the rich countryside, enabling residents to peacefully age in place. Quaint buildings with white lap siding and large picture windows frame the landscaped campus. Paved walking paths weave between the buildings, and vibrant gardens stretch across the outdoor courtyards. Inside, warm interiors and comfortable, homelike furnishings encourage residents to recline and feel at ease. At Traditions at Brookside, residents have access to many luxuries and conveniences, including chef-prepared meals, daily entertainment options, and premier amenities. Plus, the licensed, 24-hour staff provides around-the-clock personal support.
For those who require additional assistance, the on-site wellness director meets with seniors, family members, and physicians to create custom-tailored service plans for each resident. The specially trained memory care staff uses the step-by-step VARIETAS® Memory Care program and Behavior-Based Ergonomics Therapy to help residents with memory loss maintain their independence while enhancing their overall quality of life.

Good experience with our loved one
My mother in law was a resident at Traditions at Brookside. Everyone we had encountered was friendly and was knowledgeable. The facility was clean and we thought that the food was good. As far as activities go, I put a 4 mainly because I wasn't really aware of the things going on. I put a 4 on value mainly because it is expensive. But knowing my mother in law was safe and was in good hands was priceless.

A True Community Feeling
No place is perfect, and your loved one is going to need the time to settle in. Traditions at Brookside has a community feel: people are out and about visiting and participating in activities. The staff is friendly and caring. The dining area is bright, and the food is diverse and generally good.

For us the location of Traditions at Brookside works out really nice and we really do like all the different amenities they offer. Our loved one is not the biggest fan of the meals - it is more of the quality of the meals so that could use some improvement. However based on the experience we have had so far we would recommend them to other families looking for a community for their loved ones .

Traditions at Brookside was really nice. It was very clean. The staff was really, really good. Everything was really nice there. The rooms didn’t have quite as much square footage as the place we chose (my loved one just had a lot of large furniture she wanted to keep).

Overall they are really excellent providers
I'd recommend Traditions at Brookside to others.
I like that's close to home. My loved ones' room is spacious and has a bathroom, we had to provide everything else.
Communication between the community and myself is fair. Sometimes it's broken and I have to dig-in for information. On the website, I don't see any activities posted and I don't receive any emails or anything like that. I have to literally go and ask them what's going on, so they could improve on that. They're supposed to have a monthly newsletter, but I haven't seen it yet. It'd be nice if they gave us updates or scheduled meetings to ask what the families need, etc.. Aside from that, I think that they are still really excellent providers.

Excellent Place for Your Loved One
You couldn't want anything better. This has been an excellent experience for us. From the first tour to the assessment, to move in all the staff have been wonderful to work with. The food is great according to my loved one. Traditions ranks up there at the top, and they are very good.

Made a potentially tough transition easy. Glad my mom is part of a community to socialize and make friends.
I think the move-in was easy. The transition for my mom went well. They try to make her feel at home, and I think they do a good job trying to make her comfortable. I think the apartments are really nice. It' s a good size for her, and in terms of her mobility, she can get around well. The square footage lends itself to a good environment for someone who's 86 years old.

I feel the people that work here genuinely care about the residents. The place is always clean. Before Covid the activities were exceptional. I realize its harder now. Most importantly my mother always tells me its a great place to live.

I moved my dad to Traditions at Brookside during the height of COVID-19 in April 2020. Executive Director, [Name removed] and her staff have been exception in dealing with the COVID challenge and continue to care for my dad and all residents in a professional and caring way. This is an A+++ facility.

It's been a great place for our loved one.
It's a very nice facility. Everybody is really friendly and welcomes you in. We've just seemed to fit right in with everyone. I've not tried the food, but it smells really good. The Activities Director seems to stay busy with the residents and keep them occupied. When she's not busy doing that, she's handing out snacks and newsletters with memory-oriented puzzles and things. I really like it there, and my loved on seems to like it as well. I would definitely recommend them.

[name removed] provided a nice tour. The management staff has been with the place since they opened 4.5 years ago. The place appeared clean. The residents interacted with [name removed] as she showed me around via facetime. All interactions seemed pleasant. They offer respite care which would enable us to move my father ahead of his belongings. However, depending on the level of care he needs he may not be able to afford this place either.

The staff is really great
We have made the transition to this community, and so far we have no complaints about Traditions, and the community is just streets away from our family. The food here is really tasty, and we don't have to cook which is a big plus but they do not rotate the food as much as they should. The kitchen is not particularly friendly for those who are shorter or that can not reach up high, and the cabinets are really deep.

I feel that the community is safe and clean. The staff takes good care of him and I think the food is good. The communication is great between the staff and the family and they keep us updated on any covid changes also. I would recommend this community to others

This appears to be a lovely facility, and [name removed] provided excellent communication and information; however, it does not meet our preferred criteria because they do not accept Medicaid Waiver for memory care units.

Review of Traditions at Brookside
Traditions at Brookside is a wonderful facility. [name removed] did an amazing job with our tour and giving us all of the information and taking care of the admission process especially with Covid challenges. [name removed] is an amazing director. She even went herself to pick up cable for mom's telephone and installed it herself. I think the staff, nurses, therapists and aides are very helpful. They seem a little stretched and I think that is due to the challenges from all the Ccovid protocols necessary at this time. And I appreciate all of those precautions.
