Opened in October 1, 1994, the Postillion offer a unique alternative to traditional nursing home placement, for those faced with the difficult decision of moving a loved one from their own home. We cater to residents who do not wish to live alone but are capable of self care. This means that the tenant is ambulatory, is of sound mind, can manage activities of daily living, and can attend to the care of personal property adequately with minimal support or occasional assistance. Residents are provided with a private or semiprivate room in a lovely old historical home in Davenport, Iowa. We encourage physical, social and emotional well-being of each resident to his/her highest level with all of the conveniences of a home for much less than nursing homes.
