    At The Memory Center, we believe the challenging conditions of an aging brain should be met with a caring, interactive community designed around the individual. The latest science, nutrition and interactive therapies proven to extend life are part of our philosophy to enhance the meaning of life. Using familiar iconic stimuli from the past and advance research,  The Memory Center offers every incentive to celebrate life and find purpose in each day.

    Functional activities are the core of our program. Using a Montessori-based approach, The Memory Center provides diverse activities in small, social settings. A hands-on approach to learning is utilized including use of the five senses, kinetic movement and motor skill coordination. The program seeks to stimulate both mind and body while encouraging social interest.

    The state-of-the-art design reflects the architectural memory of Norfolk and the seaside attractions of Virginia Beach. The town center features a movie theater, general store, a bank, worship center, library, beauty salon, beach shack and tavern/bar with a replica of the Cape Henry Lighthouse.
