Review for Holiday The Harrison Regent
The price was good and it had an open door to a porch where we were able to build a small fence for my aunt's dog. It was a very nice community atmosphere. I would recommend to others.

Family Experience
Staff is super friendly and helpful. Dining had some issues but I believe they have been resolved. The waitstaff all quit at the same time. The only problem we have found is the WiFi is not strong enough to use in my sisters apartment even though we were told it was available. So she expected to be able to use WiFi to stream the Roku. I will add that my sister is very happy living there. She is making friends and trying to join the activities when she can.

My experience with Holiday The Harrison Regent
I toured this facility and we moved my loved one's furniture in, then he was admitted to the hospital. My loved one was not ever in the facility. When I called to update them on his condition, they just asked about the '3 Month Payment.' I guess you have to pay 3 months if your loved one's condition changes. The manager was just concerned about money, not the client. Not recommended.

We take your concerns seriously. I’ve shared them with the General Manager, and it seems she was able to work with you to reach a solution to accommodate the change in circumstances. If you want to talk about anything else, we’re happy to listen. Please email us at CustomerService@AtriaSeniorLiving.com and we will connect you with the right person. We hope your loved one is doing well.

Not the right fit
They have a one time fee that you pay upfront and I thought that was unfair especially since the contract was month to month. When he moved out we did not get that money back. It was just not the right fit for my loved one.

Great Independent Living
Our family had a very good experience here. They were getting a little short-staffed, but that might have picked up again since we had to move my parents due to increasing care needs. But Harrison Regent is really good for independent care. Know that they cannot be counted on to take care of physical needs, but that's not what they’re set up to do. It's a very good community for a bunch of seniors to be together and have their meals provided. They do not provide any type of healthcare, but it was great while Mom and Dad were healthy. My parents loved it there. They loved the food, and you had different options to choose from at each meal. They had great activities. It was a really really good place for them. Things got harder during Covid when the residents had to stay in their rooms. Even then, the staff tried to keep them updated about what was going on, were very friendly, and brought them all of their meals. I advise people this is not a place to think about long term if you think your parents are going to decline into dementia or needing more health services because they'll just be disappointed when they have to leave!

Food Needs improvement
The food is terrible and I would steer away from it, they could use some changes. The rooms are pretty nice. The activities are pretty minimal and I would look elsewhere. The staff are really good with the residents.

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to review our community. We are disappointed your experience did not reflect our commitment to be a great place to live and to work. Our menu is created by a chef and a nutritionist to ensure the options are pleasing and nutritious for seniors. The chef is happy to meet with residents and their families to discuss dietary restrictions or any other concerns. If you have any further concerns or recommendations, please email feedback@holidayseniorliving.com or call the community’s General Manager.

Covid is the reason always given for anything going wrong. They have been unable to hire the proper staff. The food is average and they can't get what they ordered. They have only one elevator whit no plan for rescue for upper floors.

Highly recommend and pet friendly
We only looked at The Harrison Regent. My daughter used to work here, so we were familiar with the facility. The staff member here are very friendly and helpful. The apartment sizes here are good, the options vary as well. They do have a shuttle that takes residents to and from doctors appointments. I do think they could improve with the parking, a lot of residents are handicap so there is not a lot of parking. I do also think they could do better at plowing the snow. But overall, I would highly recommend to others looking.

I'm a resident
I have been a resident of The Harrison Regent for 4 years, during which time I have greatly appreciated the kindness and professionalism of the management and staff. Especially during these days of pandemic, I am grateful for their protection of the residents. Management is very kind and gracious in their approach to residents while keeping us all safe. As a result of their proactive stance not one of our residents has contacted COVID-19. I have been very appreciative throughout my stay here of the superb management. I feel safe and happy here. It is more than a residence. It has become a home. I feel blessed to be here and would recommend it whole heartedly to anyone looking for an independent senior living residence.

Kindness and love are here
I have been a Harrison Regent resident for nearly four years. I truly do feel that is my home, in the finest sense of the the word. The management is professional. Staff members truly care about resident satisfaction, well-being and safety. Management has guided us through the pandemic with so much care and planning that we have not any residents contract Covid! Their guidance and requests are always presented in a kind and respectful manner. I enjoy the diversity of the residents and have made good friends here.

Overall
I’m sad that so many of the staff that left are gone. I felt they were a good friend. [names removed]. I really like [name removed] and my little house keeper. Of course because of Covid things really aren’t the same. And the food is terrible. One of my friends moved out for that reason and two more are going, and one friend says there is more. The food is one of the biggest complaints I’ve heard. I can’t afford the rent raise that is coming so I might have to move. Overall it’s a great place. On the food I don’t know whether to blame [name removed] (a very nice man) or corporate.

Please Choose WISELY
I am so sad to report that several years after moving my Momma in to a fabulous welcoming most enjoyable INDEPENDENT home... she will most likely be moving in with my husband and I. The Harrison Regent management team is without a doubt the worst yet they sadly don't have the residents best interest in mind they are selfish and very cruel at times.. They have been through many managers...while staying there there have been one older delightful couple, two younger couples one whom divorced and the wife continued living within the community managing, a younger man, and two women the current being one of them, very sweet and nice to your face but if you have an opinion that differs from hers expect to be placed on a poo poo list. The food used to be amazing when sweet [name removed] was Chef there but since then there have been complaints after complaints with absolutely nothing being done about it cold, hard food. As for activities they don't happen either please don't let them make you think it has everything to do with COVID 19 this is an INDEPENDENT LIVING the folks that live here are of sound mind they are adults it is basically a 55 or older apt complex and right now they are literally mean and bullying residents I love all of these residents so much we have been through so many friends passing away and there are so many so alone and needing friends but have been quarantined for so long to their rooms it makes my heart break, I have heard staff raise their voices to folks to put their masks on, this is not mandated this is recommended a choice. [removed] ...THESE ARE YOUR LOVED ONES CHOOSE WISELY I truly care!

Love Harrison Regent
My mom loves this place! When we went to visit, they had a resident assigned as an "ambassador" who spent time with my mom and answered her questions. After she moved in this resident kept up the contact introducing mom to other residents and including her in activities. The staff are so friendly and helpful.

A Place for Mom has scored Holiday Harrison Regent 7.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
