Great location and amazing staff
I could not be more pleased with Elance! From the tours and move in to the care takers and nursing everyone is very friendly and accommodating. It is very well run and they are making improvements every day. They have tons of activities and “trips” for the residents. The location on the water is superb and close to everything. I was hesitant to put my Dad in assisted living but he is really thriving there!

Great location and amazing staff

Eating off of plastic for SIX WEEKS + Broken Door + Food?
In the 5 days we were on site, I personally assisted 2 residents who were stuck in the exterior door adjacent to the elevator. STUCK! The Heavy door closed on them and their walker and they could not free themselves. The automatic opening doors are broken and residents told me they had been for at least 2 weeks. This is seriously dangerous. We had 6 meals in the 5 days were were there. ALL served on Plastic plates, plastic cups & plastic cutlery. We were told this was because the dishwasher is broken. It has been reported as broken for SIX WEEKS.
The quality of the food is abysmal! I ordered roasted cauliflower from the menu and received mixed veg dumped from a can sans seasoning. We ordered blackened fish and received plain fish. When asked, the waitress said the kitchen staff didn't know how to prepare blackened fish. I ordered a club and received a sandwich possibly fit for a 5 year old; white bread with processed cheese food slices. There is more but space is limited here.

We picked this community, because they had more activities, more people, a lot more senior veterans, spacious studios, the staff is helpful, the rent is affordable,the local stores are close proximity within walking distance. It's ok the residents are friendly and they have a great deal of activities and the staff are helpful but sometimes you have to watch the meals they can come hot or cold but there is always a remedy. Although, the food could be improved.

Close to heaven
I am currently a resident at Elance at Pasadena and everything about my experience at this facility has been great. The cleanliness and friendliness are great. I am so lucky to have found the perfect place for me. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

New management, new pricing, what changes?
Family at the Fountains, now Elance , report food is sub par. Dishwasher was broken for a few weeks so they ate off of paper plates.
Weekly cleaning is awful. In assisted living, I provided a duster for my brother in law as they were not dusting. Independent was worse. No dusting, stove burners are dirty and have to be reminded to clean the second bathroom.
Lost clothes many times with the laundry and long turnaround waits for Indep Living to receive clothes back.
Elance doesn’t message your Facebook posts or Instant messages. Haven’t gotten a return email in five days.
Elevators for the most part have atleast one out of service regularly.
Because there is no freight elevator, move in has to be at night.
If you have a medical emergency and it’s move in time or an elevator down, good luck,
The buildings are very nice and smell great. Maintenance does a great job.

My loved one is currently a resident at The Fountains at Boca Ciega Bay. The facility is in a good location. The cleanliness is good. The friendliness and quality of care are okay. The meals are also okay. However, the administration is not great.

Forced to move after Elance bought the facility
My mother had been living here for about a year when we were told they would no longer accept Medicare and she had 45 days to vacate.
This entire process has been made much worse due to the lack of help from the staff. Once the decision was made, my mother’s care dropped. She was left with expired food in her refrigerator, clothing dumped on the floor and went over a week without a shower.
Records were not sent to her new home after weeks of asking and promises made. The staff lied, the supervisors lied and ultimately I had to do the “nurses to nurse” interview after we were told it would absolutely be done within the hour.
The moving process is restricted to after hours and the fee we paid to move my mother in one year ago is not being refunded. A fee that the new facility also requires.
Once the transition to Elance occurred, we were no longer valuable. I can not image how a resident without family close by could possibly manage this.

Promises not fulfilled.
Dirty, poor quality food. Never had salmon or steak as promised. Girl in lunchroom cafe was rude and always unpleasant. Housecleaning staff were rude and unkind. Are they that desperate for workers???? However all persons in the upper levels of administration were outstanding and helpful. Also the Physical Therapy staff were great. The guys in Maintenance were also kind and helpful. And the head of the dining room was extremely accommodating. We left after 4 months because we didn't want to be in there the rest of our lives and the prices were going up.

The entire staff was very kind and knowledgeable and over the top.
I met with [name removed] the sales director and immediately knew this was where I needed to be.I am 93 and my budget is tight and over the years we have had contact but she had a price that I could live wth.I have no family to help me make this change.She lead thru the paper work and spent a 2 hour visit and tour of the facility.I use an electric scooter,she stayed right beside me never hurrying me,just such a beautiful person,how lucky can you get.I chose a floor plan on my first visit and I am looking forward to my new life at The Fountains.Jean Brown

My brother chose The Fountains because he interviewed some of the administrative staff and my mom is in the memory care unit. The care plus the value of the cost and the size of the facility were all of the main reasons that we picked it. Overall it has been a good experience and I would recommend to others looking.

Visit to The Fountains
Location is beautiful at the Fountains and the price is reasonable considering what you are offering. I am very concerned about the elevator situation and the lack of availability to residents. Two persons allowed in a elevator at a time and one elevator not working is serious problem especially with the number of floors you have and many of the residents unable to do the stairs. The food is not just poor in many cases it is not eatable and people are buying food as a back-up. I question why there are only a few people using the dining room, when allowed, where the food is somewhat better. Possibly its because of elevator situation .These are not only health issue, but safety as well. When can we expect these items to be corrected.
I am fully aware that you are operating at a disadvantage due to the pandemic.

Can't Have Any Valuables Left In Your Apartment
My loved one had items stolen out of their room. I am unhappy with the community's response on this situation. I am not happy with my loved one being here.
I believe my loved one is happy with the food.

I would give them a plus. I feel comfortable here and the staff is friendly. We do have food in the dining area was good, before COVID. The food is being delivered to our room, and it isn't as warm and the selection isn't good as before. The delivery isn't set up to be done.
One thing you have to consider is the price, this is much better than other communities I visited. It's as good as it get.

The Fountains At Boca Ciega Bay
They have done a very impressive job keeping the residents safe during the Covid-19 pandemic. The staff does well with communication from management. The front desk staff could be a little more courteous, however. We are overall happy with the care.

Great place to live
This is a wonderful community, with its spectacular views, friendly and knowledgeable staff, plethora of activities, and good food.
We toured 8 facilities before we chose this one. A couple had better food, but most had worse. There is some variety so it is not boring.
The dining hostess, [Name removed], is a gem. By the time you have been there 3 times, she knows your name. She makes sure that you are seated comfortably and stows your walker for you. IF you are a new resident, she makes sure that you know everyone's name at the table and makes sure they know you are new. Your tablemates are almost always helpful, letting you know what's good, what the menu doesn't tell you. etc..
There are so many activities that you cannot get to all of them in a day. And the activities are different depending on the day. Saturday evenings we gather in the auditorium for a show or concert or just singing.
There are as many special occasion parties as the staff can think up. Halloween party had standing room only, so many attended. A great time was had by all.
There are weekly outings, trips to the mall, grocery stores, theater, beach …. I cannot list them all.
Maintenance staff have the "can do" attitude and are just great. They will help with bringing up packages from the lobby, setting up your TV, hanging pictures,. Believe me when I say we wanted a lot done to make our apartment our own.
IF there is one somewhat failing it is housekeeping. They come every two weeks. The ladies are great but they labor under very restrictive rules. Cannot pick up anything on desk, table, counter to dust. Cannot move chairs, even office chairs, to vacuum or sweep.
Hospitality group works to make your transition into The Fountains as smooth as possible, both before you move, during your move and after it. There are volunteer residents assigned to new people to help them feel less overwhelmed.
We have been here three months now and love it.
