A place to call home.
Mom is diabetic. I would assume she is not alone at RRP. The menu should be geared towards diabetic people. Skip fruit juice and provide good to excellent fruits and vegetables (fresh is best) the difference in money would be small. Overall I think mom is happy at RRP. Staff levels are probably a bit on the low side. Some of the staff really care about the job they do, others not so much. Early on mom lost some laundry piece that was very dear to her. Laundry is marked very well. Administration is unable to find her blouse (I think it was)

I like the location of the Trustwell Living community and the weather. We are very close to town and can easily walk or drive to many stores and restaurants. The staff are great and I have made friends with many of the residents.

Our Experience
My loved one was previously a resident at Trustwell Living at Sinclair Place and I was there for two months helping her move. The facility was beautiful, but understaffed. They provided minimum services to the residents there. The food looked terrible and every meal, the poor ladies at the table with my loved one picked at the food and barely ate anything. The poor server apologized to them for the food. It was a classy looking, beautiful facility and the services promised sounded great! However, they did not deliver what was promised. Administration did not care about the residents, only the aides, nurses and kitchen staff seemed to care. Don't choose this place unless you're going to be checking in almost daily.

Our family's experience was poor. This place needs improvements, would not recommend.
The management completely over promised services they could provide. My sister, my dad, and I stayed with her most of her stay. The didn't have enough staff to keep her diaper reasonably clean. My dad and sister changed her diaper and cleaned her. We would not have placed her in Sinclair Place had we known she wasn't going to get the care the intake manager described. If we'd have known how limited their staffing resources were going to be, we would not have put mom in Sinclair Place. She definitely did not get the care they described on intake.

Understaffed
During our stay at Sinclar Place we figured out that they were very understaffed, as is the whole world. They were not clear with us on their abilities to support our loved one. They told us what they wanted to happen, but it was impossible to carry through on it based on their lack of staffing.

I would recommend
We chose Sinclair Place because of the location of the facility and the size of the room that my mother was able to get and the fact it was on the first floor. The price was also very good compared to others we looked at in the area. Like anywhere right now, the biggest negative is the lack of staff members. Overall I would recommend them.

my review of Sinclair Place
The brochure shows amazing food options but we only got a repeat menu and they would not offer any other options. I would like to see more options when it comes to activities. There was an issue with some of the aids and following the medical directions. After a fall they would not allow my loved one back to the community and tried to charge us for a full 30-day charge.

Good Community
There has recently been a change in staff. There is a regional director coming in a few days a week due to the director leaving. The staff from the floor have to help in the dining room and kitchen.
The medication documentation could be improved
Overall, it is a good community.

Just what we needed at the time
We chose Sinclair Place because we needed to get my mom someplace quickly that had the care she needed. The room sizes here were perfect for her needs. Overall, we were not here long but it worked for our needs at the time.

This facility gave us good peace of mind
We chose Sinclar Place at the time because because they were more welcoming than some others that we looked into. Plus the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. The single room that he had was very nice size, plenty of room for him. The bathroom had much more room and was very accessible. He was not a fan of the food. The portions were not enough and they did not serve enough meat. But he did love the desert cart. He did enjoy the game nights that they had here and he talked about it quite a bit. Overall, I would recommend.

Nice facility!
This was a very nice facility. It was well maintained and clean. The nurses and staff were able to correctly score my loved one's condition, in terms of the level of care that she would need, but we could not choose this facility in the long run.

Satisfied with facility and care
I was able to place longtime friend there about 6 weeks ago. She has thrived and is doing much better in health and overall attitude and condition. Initially, she told people she planned to stay a week, but recently told me she plans to stay a year or maybe permanently.
Initially, I thought it was a bit expensive, but, in chatting with others, it sounds like it is within the norm for such facilities.
All staff seem positive and responsive and as if they truly care. Residents also seem nice and happy.
Furnishings are very nice. Facility is very clean. Meals seem nutritious and chef comes out and visits with residents after serving.
I don't dole out accolades without warrant. I am satisfied with and appreciative of this facility at this time.

need a variety of activities
We have an active 81 year old there that needs better activities. She would like to have bridge where as they have someone come in and read the newspaper to them. The director is fabulous. There's no place for them to go and be outside, everything is inside. They need a deck so they could go out. The staff is wonderful.

Great Personnel
The experience has been fantastic. my loved one was in rehab and the minute we talked to Sinclair Place they let us set everything up so she could move in right when she was finished with her rehab. They bent over backward to do everything to welcome my loved one. They just have great personnel.
