Everything Dad Needs is Here
My dad is doing very well in this nice community. I am pleased with all they do and they had everything he needed. He is staying busy with activities like doing wood work, sanding, and chop foods for the meals. Its like they are at home doing the usual. My dad does a lot of walking around and they have some outings available. I like that everybody is caring and nice.

The ratio is not right
My dad lived here at this community. This place is for more independent living. They did get my dad up and out of the room. It was kept clean and nice. The people were nice. There are about 85 residents and only 10 caregivers. My dad needed a place that worked better for his needs. After taking him out of there we found out he was getting a lot of meds to drug him up so they didn't have to deal with him. He now is more alert and thriving.

Silverado Newport Mesa was a very nice community. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly. They offered a lot of amenities for the residents. We chose another community based on our loved one's needs.

Silverado is not spectacular on the outside however it is all about the structure inside. Their tailored plans for each of the clients, the 72 hour buddy system as well as having domestic animals mingle with their clients makes this the total package. Unfortunately, no matter how I look at it, it is not affordable. My only regret is that I was not born rich as 96,000/year is steep.
And that is the only reason I rated Silverado a 4 - affordability needs to be part of the equation

The staff have provided wonderful care for my loved one, they specialize in the kind of treatment my mother needs. The administration has followed through with all promises that where promised during our tour, and have been very helpful with the transition into there facility.

The Best in the Land
My wife and I toured nine local senior living facilities within a two month period. Our Mother had mental disease. We chose Silverado because they really cared and specialized in dimentia. We liked that all their residents interacted with each other, and we especially liked that they welcomed small cats and dogs, who are important to seniors and their comfort. We highly recommend Silverado and their terrific caring staff.
Our Mom passed away there, and my brothers and I were in attendance. That's always hard, of course, but it was the best for Mom at the end. Thanks especially to Kim Wentink (wonderful Family Ambassador, who has now been replaced with an equally caring person named Courtney) and all the nursing and financing staff. They were all honest, caring, and loving. Unlike other facilities, Silverado gives you everything at one price. Because they specialize in Memory Care, they knew that Mom would get worst eventually, but that's what they're all about, so they don't nickel and dime you. They really care.

Accommodating & Caring facility
Silverado is a most friendly caring facility. They try to make their residence comfortable with dignity and respect. I observed that the residence are encouraged to dress each morning and groomed as they would in the past. There are always clean clothes to wear and hygiene is good. The caregivers know all residence by name and treat them as one of their family. All at Silverado are most accommodating with request from loved ones.
