After having mom and dad in another facility..... Rock Island village exceeds my expectations. The staff is exceptional. It never smells. I am very pleased

I toured this community and it was very nice! It's a newer facility and staff was very friendly. The rooms are bigger than most other places. Cleanliness was great. However, it is more expensive than some of the other places we toured. This was our first choice, but due to cost and budget we had to choose another place.

A Place That Cares
Rock Island Village is a wonderful place. You can just tell that it's staffed well with local people who care. It's extremely clean. There is always plenty of staff. My mother has adjusted well, and she loves the food, which is home cooked and delicious. The accommodations are great - it's the only place n the region that offers a two-bedroom apartment. It's just a really relaxed, nice, family-oriented atmosphere, and we're very very happy with it.

A Good Community, But I'm a Little Surprised By Additional Fees Being Charged
Rock Island Village does a great job in providing a facility for the residents living here. The care provided is good for the residents. They try their best in making sure that my loved one is taken care of.
There are extra fees monthly for reminders to come to meals and doing laundry more than once a week. I would have thought these additional fees would be included as it is an assisted living community. The community is able to provide medication management, dressing assistance, and hygiene care for a basic monthly price.

Grarititude!
Feeling weary of looking for a place for my Mother to thrive in her elder years, I felt great gratitude to find Rock Island Village.
I immediately experienced relief just walking into the Calm and spacious atmosphere. Natural Light streams in from floor to ceiling. The Decor causes one to feel that they are standing in the lobby of a 5 Star Hotel. I got immediate support and guidance about the vision and services rendered there by way of a tour of the entire facility. I saw residents looking cheerful. I saw available apartments for new residents. All were clean, spacious, and designed for ultimate care and safety.
The Director said that they allow for pets, and have a special staff member(s) that walk the dogs, take them for grooming and Vet. apts.
The food there is Gourmet Quality,.
The Staff is personable and nurturing in their care.
My Mother is well loved and protected.
Why would I go anywhere else.? It is a Quality HOME experience for my Mom. I love visiting her there.

Great choice for assisted living
Great friendly staff. My father was very well taken of while he was a resident there. Even after he had to move to a nursing home he continued to be visited by the Rock Island staff. Facility was always extremely clean and orderly, good variety of apartment sizes. Always pleasant, knowledgeable staff members

Rock Island Review
I had a friend who was residing at Rock Island Village. Every time I stopped to see her the staff were welcoming, the grounds were well kept, the facility was clean, and the residents appeared to be enjoying themselves (I was there a few times during dinner). One time I stopped by for reverse trick-or-treating. It was neat to see the staff dressed up in costumes while community members brought their kids through for candy. The residents seemed to get a kick out of all the little ones dressed up as well. I follow Rock Island Village on Facebook, they are often posting all the different events/activities/excursions that they host or provide for the residents and the community. Rock Island really does seem to be a village and an asset to the community.

Maybe here in a few years it might be okay but as of now they are understaffed each time I visited a family friend you could not find any workers I was even notified that there was only 1 aid on floor with over 40 residents would not recommend

A great home for mom!!
We could not be more pleased. The facility is clean bright open and spacious. The staff to a person are friendly courteous and know every resident by their first name. Flat out a first rate facility

Beautifully appointed, caring staff, excellent care. Wish I had known about Rock island before we bought our ‘Retirement House’! They provided excellent respite care for my father, while my husband and I needed to be away for business. I highly recommend them.

Lovely and lively place!
Gorgeous new construction. A really caring staff. Food is home cooked and there really are a lot of daily activities. And the units are big! I liked the nursing staff. They made the family friend that we referred to them feel very comfortable with the medical supervision. Looks like a fun place to live!
