I was thinking when the time comes, that I would also like to move in this community. Communication with staff is pretty good. The community is overall pretty clean.

87 Year Old With Significant Improvement From Previous Community
My loved ones' emotional and mental status has improved significantly since moving from the previous community to Solstice. The staff have been very responsive to any questions I have by phone, typical a return call within one hour.
There are choices for the residents to choose from for meals. There are daily menus and then the resident has the option of ordering off the menu and receiving a sandwich or hamburger instead.
There is a calendar with all the activities going on. There is always something for the residents to participate in.

Great Facility
They're very friendly and courteous. And they're always looking after their residents. Their activities are really good. During Halloween, they had a costume party. They always seem to have special things monthly, church weekly, and lots of other things going on., If a person wants to be active, they can be as active as they want to be. Overall it's just a really good organization.

A really good place to be.
It's a nice living facility. The workers are great. They're very friendly. So are the people who live here. The food is not all that bad, but it could use a lot of help. I would like to see more choices and more variety. They serve a lot of baked potatoes, hamburgers, salads, etc. I think the cost is a little high, but that seems to be the going rate.

Good experience
We chose Solstice because it was closer to where he used to live and so he is familiar with the area and feels comfortable there. The apartment that we chose is a good size for him and what he needs. The staff is very friendly and courteous. I would recommend to others looking.

This place sucks! The place wasn't ready to be moved in when I showed up for my move in scheduled date. The food doesn't taste good and they don't give you enough of it.
The staff is good to work with, the managers aren't good.

I would recommend
We chose Solstice senior living because of the location, the price, and what they had to offer. The apartment sizes here are appropriate. It has been hard because of covid since they are so limited on what they can do, but I would recommend them.

We have been very thankful them
We do like the staff members there and they have been really good with the activities during the pandemic. They are still safely social distancing and for that they would get a 5+, they have been extremely good.

Solstice in El Paso is a nice senior living opportunity
This community is not perfect but it is good, and it is very clean. The staff members are very friendly. The just recently changed leadership over the summer and even when they were allowed to do activities it was very minimal. The rooms at this community are quite adequate, and just enough space. The rooms don't allow for any unnecessary items to be stored which is what we liked.

Do Not Move Your Loved One Here!
Where to begin... my dad moved to Solstice Senior Living Rio Norte, El Paso a few months after my mom died. He was looking for a home that provided comfortable living, good food, and nice people. Wrong on all accounts. The management at Solstice Senior Living Rio Norte, El Paso bullies its residents, refuses to address problems of basic human needs (temperatures in my dad's apartment would exceed 85 degrees, with the air conditioner on, and told there was nothing wrong), along with inedible and either-overcooked or raw food, rarely anything in-between. As a result of my dad complaining and offering alternatives, his rental agreement was terminated while he was suffering from pneumonia. Thankfully, my dad had the ability to relocate, moved into a small house where he now lives alone and is much happier. Please do not move someone you love into Solstice Senior Living Rio Norte, El Paso.

Don't listen to the haters
This place has been the best thing for my family and our love one, Staff is very professional and caring, food is just like home cooking and Chef talks with us every time we visit.
The General Manager is a very caring person and keeps us informed of any changes in our family members.

REPLACE INEPT PEOPLE
This place would be wonderful if a few major changes happened. The manager of the facility could care less when a resident brings there concerns to him. He is retired on the job. The manager is confrontational and defends a bad position. The restaurant manager is also a poor manager. She will defend her horrible meals which are over cooked or raw. The residents are hopeful, they have a new part-time cook who is very good and the hope is he will replace her because she is NO CHEF. Sometimes she will put out a okay meal but not as often as they should. The portions are also very small, which is fine for small people, but larger men should have more food so that my parent doesn't go back to their room hungry. The bright light in the facility is [name removed]...he is wonderful and really cares about the residents. Some of the staff and ladies that clean the rooms are also caring. It is clean and well kept. They have lots of activities and do a good job for holidays. The biggest problem are the manager and the food lead cook. If these people were replaced it would be a fine facility.

My father's comfort
My father is in this community and he does not feel welcome. The staff is nice, but the staff has been trying. The community is clean with the positive environment. He likes the activities but claims he does not always feel comfortable with the other residents. We would recommend this community for the care of a loved one.

Clean Property!!
I have no complaints about the tour I had taken of this community for my loved one. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to answer any questions we had for them in detail. They had a nice open floor plan that was easy to navigate for all of the residents as well great amenities. My father was just not ready to make the move in the end decision and decided to just stay home.

Great Staff!!
My mother has recently moved into this community and so far we are pleased with this community. The staff have where very helpful with the move in process and made sure to answer any questions we had for them in detail. My father has really enjoyed his new apartment and it has seemed to be a perfect fit for him in my opinion. I would defiantly recommend it to anyone who is interested.

Nice accommodations and grounds are pleasant to walk around or sit on the patios.
Menus are provided, but many times do not match what is actually being served. The exercise facilities leave a lot to be desired. Overall the facilities are comfortable and attractive.

Very impressed!
We really liked Rio Norte when my loved one and I toured. The place was nice and the lady that took us around,[Removed], was great. The reason we did not choose it was because it was too far from the area he wanted to be in. Also, it was far from family and other things.
