About Potomac at Ramsey 2
Potomac Homes is dedicated to caring for people with Alzheimer's disease and other dementia related illnesses in a secure and safe home setting. We believe, and research and experience support, the notion that a small intimate home setting is the best environment to provide a supportive milieu. We base this on individual dignities, wellness, strengths and remaining abilities. Our high ratio of specially trained staff creates a warm family environment focused on retaining each person's individual uniqueness and independence. Our goal is to be the choice provider, preferred employer and the measure of excellence in the delivery of services to the dementia population.
Our environment, activities and assistance are focused on maintaining each resident's health, happiness and freedom of movement within a secure living environment. The general managers and staff develop individualized lifestyle plans enabling residents to use their skills, thereby helping to enhance each resident's self esteem, sense of accomplishment, contentment and quality of life. We have an integrated, holistic approach, recognizing that mind and body - emotional and physical health-are inter-related. We understand the process of aging, and we listen to older people. Instead of dictating to them how and where they should live-regardless of social relationships and physical ability-we work with them and their families to identify what they need and want. We help them achieve their full potential.
