Exceeded Expectations!
I spent three weeks here being treated for cellulitis ulcers on both legs. I arrived via transfer ambulance from Holy Cross Hospital – and was immediately impressed with the well-manicured carpeting in the expansive lobby area. My admittance took but a few minutes following an exchange of paperwork. I was assigned to a large private room. While there . . .
My wound dressings were changed every day, and I left completely healed. I had physical therapy every day as well - leaving much stronger than when I arrived. My bed was changed every day. Trash was removed every day. My room was cleaned every day. The spacious bathroom and shower were cleaned every day. They sent me between-meals sandwiches/snacks if I were hungry.
Over the three-week span, I was visited by various doctors - one of whom became my family physician after I left. A podiatrist came in to treat and clip my toenails. A specialist visited me three times to see how I was progressing. The nursing staff was prompt, kind, caring, and knowledgeable of my condition. The cleaning staff were cheerful and personable. The physical therapists, in a laid-back way, pushed me to get stronger. I shared interests, and a sense of humor, with all of them. The PT room had everything needed for treating a wide range of rehabilitation needs. The food was at least as good as any other commercially-prepared food I have had in my 75 years of life. Even the dietician had a face-to-face meeting with me in my room to make sure that I had no dietary restrictions.
In conclusion, my stay at MVC&R far exceeded my expectations. I mean, what more can a patient expect than this? I would return to this facility in a heartbeat.

Poor care & poor communication
My dad has been at Montgomery Village Care and Rehab for almost 3 weeks after knee replacement surgery and his experience has been awful! They lack good communication both with patient and among staff. Because of heavy accented English they are very hard to understand. The nursing assistance are not patient or very kind. The facility looks old and worn. I am truly sorry we chose this facility. It got better than average review on Medicare.gov, but that is not accurate. Save yourself or your loved one from a bad experience and choose another facility.
