About Lutheran Home
The Lutheran Home: Belle Plaine provides skilled nursing care, a Special Care Residence for individuals with Alzheimer’s and rehabilitative therapies. In our skilled nursing care, Transitional Care Services focus on preparing you to return to your home and providing respite care, and long-term services are offered for individuals who require more substantial care. Our services and hospitality make us more than a nursing home.
We have 5 neighborhoods (living areas), each designed to create a home-like feel and promote personalized care, including café-style dining. Nursing staff are located nearby in each area, and a registered dietitian is also on staff.
Private and semi-private rooms are available. Each room features a private bath, individual temperature controls and flat-screen TVs. We also have several indoor and outdoor common areas for family and friends to enjoy.
We partner with Aegis Therapies to provide physical, occupational and speech therapies for all ages. Our Wellness and Rehabilitation Center offers state-of-the-art Nautilus equipment and technology, wellness programs and resources, and opportunities to practice life skills. Therapists will work with you to increase strength, mobility, coordination and cognitive abilities to enhance your quality of life.
We are part of a 22-acre continuum of care campus, which includes a Mayo-affiliated medical clinic on-site.
The Lutheran Home is part of The Lutheran Home Association, which has provided services for over 100 years.
