Legacy - Home Sweet Home
It is really clean there and the food is amazing - it has a great variety of healthy choices. The staff are so friendly and they have really fun activities. I can't think of anything they could improve upon - it's amazing there!!!

Great Fit for My Parents
They were very helpful in getting my parents in. We needed a quick turnaround when one of them was getting released from the hospital. [name removed], the nurse, went down to both locations - the hospital as well as my parents' home - to do the evaluations. They were very accommodating every step of the way. The director was great about finding a room that we were happy with when the original room wasn't what we were wanting. And all of the services my parents needed, they were able to accommodate. My parents have two cats, and the staff even helps take care of the cats as well. The staff that comes in and gives mediations and things like that are very friendly and make sure to check in on whether my parents need anything. They help any way they can, and I appreciate how friendly they are. Legacy House of Logan has been a really good place for my parents, and it's exactly where they need to be right now.

Appointed Personal Rep. of Former Alzheimer's Resident
I'm the legally appointed personal representative of my mother's estate. She was put in this facility by her estranged offspring in 2018 after being taken from her Maryland care facility. I placed a welfare check call to the local police department after my mother called me crying, scared, & not sure where she was. That report reflects law enforcement contact was stopped by an employee at the facility. An employee dissuaded law enforcement from speaking with my mother, the victim, under a valid welfare check call. I subpoenaed facility records for the probate matter. Prescribed meds weren't dispensed due to machine error, my mom was found drinking from a moldy coffee cup, she fell multiple times breaking her femur & then she was found stuck between her bed and nightstand, & staff witnessed she "had a seizure". I'm filing formal complaints against Legacy House of Logan based on the official records I've received.

Has its pros and cons
As far as the value for the money, I feel like there are a lot of things they should not be doing. My mom and and are both here and I think my mom is doing a lot to take care of him for the money that we are paying. The food here is also not good and could use a lot of improvement, they pay a lot of extra money on groceries every week. The staff members are very friendly and try their best and the activities are also great.

Definitely recommend
We chose Legacy House of Logan because we were impressed with the cleanliness and it seemed to be very organized. It was also bright and full of light, it did not feel institutional it felt more like home. The staff members here are super friendly and very professional. The room sizes here are perfect for what my mom needed, they also have options on sizes depending on what you need. I have eaten here several times and it was good. Overall, I would recommend.

Staff Wouldn't Call The Doctor and Mom Died of Pneumonia
Legacy House of Logan ignored my requests for a doctor to be called for my 79 year old mother, a resident in their memory care unit. She was gasping for breath and was incoherent on [dates removed].
Staff refused to call the doctor at my request, because I am "not on the list", and then banned my calls. My mother died on [date removed].
She was gravely ill on [dates removed]. I called the Utah Ombudsman, [named removed], for a welfare check, but he failed to do his job and did not visit the facility to check on my mother.
The on-staff nurse was "giving her fluids and keeping an eye on her". Now my mother is dead, from pneumonia.

A Good Experience
Mom has resided at Legacy House for one year now. She is always commenting on the friendly and professional manner she is treated.
Mom is actually quite independent for her 87 years. The only exception being is that she requires diabetic insulin injections which she is able to perform herself. I have been there several times when one of the friendly medical staff appears to remind her of her injection and monitor her sugar level.
The facility is clean, they assist with housekeeping and are there to help in any way. They help getting her to her medical appointments, and little errands as needed.
Our family is very appreciative and pleased!

Legacy House/dementia patient
They have been very kind and good to be there for my mom with dementia. She’s not always courteous and kind, and is downright mean at times. But they consistently smile and are cheerful. Mom even mentions how nice they are.
They make a huge effort to make sure she’s eating every meal, and if she doesn’t feel up to it, they gladly bring it to her. When she pushes her necklace button, they always respond promptly.
I believe Legacy House is probably the best choice for my mom. I have been very impressed!

Not a memory care facility
Legacy House was not the right fit for our loved one. After several months we found a different facility. If your loved one is self sufficient, Legacy will work. If they need memory care and special additional care like bathroom help, special diet, help dressing, etc this is not a good fit. Response is slow, lot's of agreements to provide additional care, but seldom gets done. It is clean and safe, but that is about it. Once we found a true memory care facility - the experience was night and day. Just make sure you are aware of your loved ones needs and monitor the situation carefully.

Strange price structure
While looking into various options for my love one, I got a very off putting feeling after touring this facility. The way that they price structured a few things made me feel uncomfortable. If you wanted little things it seemed that there would be extra charges for that instead of having an overall fee. It just put me off. However, the facility itself was spacious and clean just not exactly the right fit for my love one.

Receiving good care
My parents are settling in nicely at the Legacy House of Logan. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. The staff is friendly and caring and attentive to their care needs. I live out of state but my sister and brother in law have eaten there with them and they say the food is good. There are plenty of activities that the staff encourages the residents to participate, but my mom is more of a homebody and doesn't engage in the activities. There is a secure outdoor area for them to be able to go outside and enjoy the fresh air. We would recommend this community to others.

Nutrition a problem
My mother lived at Legacy House for 4 years and there were many good things about her stay there. The facility is very clean and beautifully kept. The staff are friendly and courteous. The activities are wonderful. However, as her needs increased, I became more and more unhappy. My mother's nutrition was the biggest issue we had, and the staff did not adequately care for her with regards to this very important part of an elderly person's care. She refused meals to the point that she was eating only once daily. It wasn't until I visited her a few times in a row where she looked in very poor health, with poor color and trembling limbs. I discussed the issue with the staff and they suggested Ensure meal replacers, which I would have been glad to have provided if I'd know it was needed. My mother immediately improved after we purchased the Ensure. Her care became to demanding for an assisted living facility and I moved her in with me to avoid a nursing home. Since she's been with me I've realized how poor her nutrition was at Legacy House. She still refuses meals with me, as she did with the Legacy House staff, but I take the time to make sure she drinks meal replacers and has a better quality diet. I was especially disappointed that someone at Legacy House did not take control of her nutrition and contact us to discuss the matter so that we could come up with a solution. We as her children did not know the extent of her meal refusal, and eating every 24 hours is probably not a good plan for an elderly woman. No one called us to tell us it was happening. The staff should have been proactive in addressing this issue. Since my mother has lived with me her health has improved. Shame on Legacy House for not addressing this issue at ALL, let alone appropriately.

Taking Good Care Of Mom
My mother is still adjusting with her move into the community, but I do feel it is a good fit for her. The place is very clean and well-kept. The staff is great and very friendly to her, they even know her by name when they see her. The food is good and they give you a variety of choices to chose from. I do feel they are taking very good care of my mother and I would recommend this community.
