Could be cleaner...
When I toured Inn on the Boulevard, I noticed that it did not look as appealing. The place was not maintained as well as the other communities that I toured, The tour guide was friendly and helpful, but it was not what I was looking for.

I'm so grateful to have found The Inn On The Blvd for our mother. The first thing that needs to be said is how amazing the administrator Tim Ray is. Tim is knowledgable, helpful, kind accommidating and most of all caring. I just can't say enough good stuff about Tim. Mom can be difficult. We tried in home care which was extremely expensive and placing mom in a home with four other clients. Both were a complete nightmare. I can't say mom is happy but it took time for us to come to the understanding at this stage of mom's life she wasn't going to happy anywhere. We know she is getting good care and in a safe place and that's all we can wish for. I highly recommend the Inn and after much research it is a great value. Thanks Tim and all the others for caring for our mother.

Not a good facility for someone with dementia
My mother lived here for eight months. Her private room was very spacious, but the housekeeping services were so poor - the room perpetually smelled bad and her bathroom floor was always sticky, even on the day the housekeeper came. The food was a disappointment - some meals were great, others were on a par with the worst cafeteria food I'd ever had. Important to note: They tout their activities, but they DO NOT have an Activity Director on staff, Activities are run by the front desk staff, who as far as I could tell had no particular training. No attempt was made to engage residents in activities beyond announcing them on the intercom. Front desk and administrative staff were always friendly and helpful. The caregivers seemed perpetually overworked and the care director has a brusque disposition that borders on rude, with both residents and family. There was no intake process, no care plan. They didn't even interview me about my mother's care needs, just took my check to hold the room. That should have been a big red flag. It's a good value for the money for a senior who is highly functioning and needs little assistance beyond housekeeping, laundry and meals. It was a very bad place for my mother, who has moderate dementia and mobility issues due to age-related Parkinsons. None of their staff appear to be trained in dementia care. My normally cheerful, outgoing mother became very depressed during her stay there.

$2500 with entry level care. Lots of gay men. The extras will eventually really add up here -- it would be $600 more a month for dressing care, showing care and incontinence care.

Feel lucky to have found this home
The staff is considerate and accommodating; the food good; the environment non restricting. My mother is well taken care of and I couldn't be happier.

Not as much diversity I would like. ...
Not as much diversity I would like. It's right on a major street. We did get a great tour from the Activity Director. We saw the room. It's big. It has a closet. It has a view of the courtyard. It's nice. The facility is small. Their medication room is in order and they have a good system to keep it in order. It's not corporately owned, so there is flexibility. It's very clean and the bathtubs have cut outs already installed. They want my mother now for her favorite past time -- bridge. They need a fourth. The rooms are the largest and the most reasonably priced. They've sold me. For my Mom, it is almost perfect.

Like the location a lot. And rooms are furnished. One room thermostat for every 3 rooms. Prefer individual room thermostats. But a lot of other good features about the Inn.
