A Special Place
I would definitely recommend Arbor. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The meals are good quality, but as with any other facility it is difficult to please every taste. Housekeeping is okay. I am used to more in depth cleaning, but they do exactly what is promised and that is fine. Move in was good with a proviso that not everything is put where you want it - but it would be silly to complain when I didn't have to pack boxes or unpack most of what we brought.
We have only been here 2 weeks, have not done much of the activities and didn't sign up for family notifications. The apartments are special in terms of their space. They get a 5+.

Staff is excellent
Arbor Terrace has the best staff, great amenities and good food. I have been a resident for three years and are pleased with the community. Teaneck is a nice area with lots of shops and the community overlooks a nature preserve.

An excellent place for Independent Living
My loved one was previously a resident at Arbor Terrace Teaneck and everything about this facility and her experience was great! Everyone was excellent! The cleanliness and friendliness were great. The staff, meals and activities were also great. I would 1000% recommend Arbor Terrace Teaneck to family and friends!

We picked this community, because of the location, friendly staff and residents, and beautiful facilities. I would recommend it highly. They have everything you could want--book clubs, Happy Hour, exercises, Movies, Trips, and etc.

Summer time, and the living is easy...
I have lived at Arbor Terrace for almost four years, and have loved every moment of my stress free life here!
The apartments are unusually bright and beautiful, with a variety of floor plans.
There are a number of activities for mind and body, such as: daily exercise programs, lectures, crafts and art projects, daily movies, a book group, plus musical entertainment and special seasonal celebrations.
An Arbor transportaion takes us to medical appointments and an Arbor bus provides transportation to plays, art museums, symphony concerts and many other outside places of interest, so that life is never dull.
The staff is exceedingly friendly, helpful, and accomodating, adding to the worry free life at Arbor that I would not trade for any other!

Not what I expected
I think the director should care more about those here and not just sales. Almost everyone is medically compromised and I am not. They lied about that. Programs offered in the building are not challenging enough. Everything is done for the least mentally healthy people. I am obviously not happy about choice, but I don't know if other places I looked would be any better.

Tour of Arbor Terrace
Arbor Terrace was very nice. This actually was our runner up facility, but they did not have any availability. The only downfall was the location is not the best, nothing is within walking distance so I thought that my dad might feel trapped. There was a park across the street but it was under construction.

Excellent place for your parent or relative.
Out of everything I seen they are superior to everything. It was truly a godsend and they were relatively cheaper than everyone else. I have recommended this community to many people already for their loved ones. This community is clean and in a beautiful area, there is wildlife, the food is good, the staff care is amazing and they have done things above and beyond for my loved one. She has made so many new friends and her focus is not on herself anymore and now on the community and it has been a great thing for her. They deliver food to her apartment when the weather is bad or Covid.

We loved Arbor Terrace. My loved one was very happy here, the facility itself is warm and cozy and just the right size. The administrative staff were wonderful and the everyday staff were great as well. I think it is the best place in this area.

Comfortable place to live with some charm
The apartment is very pleasant and comfortable at this community. The outside surroundings are lovely. The community is located near a creek with a lot of trees. The core program is good but maybe the staff could be a little more professional.

Our families experience
Arbor Terrace is a beautiful community, and overall the staff are nice people we really do like them. One thing that is very nice about this location is there is a beautiful nature preserve across the street that is very accessible to the residents.

We are impressed. Even tho it is an IL facility, AL services are provided by a live-in aide if we get a 2 BR apt. Since it's not an AL facility. Some of tge regulations are less strict. For example, I can sort the meds and the aide can administer it to Mom. This saves us $600/mo.
Mary showed us a larger 2BR that was disconnected since it overlooks a dumpster and parking lot. R
They put special,window treatments which blocj the view of the dumpster and only show tree toos.
2 baths & a washer/dryer in the apt. Make it very luxurious.
Rent asked in $4,800. Niw we're waiting to hear from the home health agencies to get pricingbfor the live-In aide.
Mom did not pass her assessment at Sunrise Edgewater, however, the RN in FL says cruteria may be different in NJ than in Fla.
Arbor Terrace apt. Is triple the size of the Sunrise apt. and is less depressingbthan an ALF only resident. They have aging in place.
So, right now, this is on the top of our list, pending reasonable rates from the home health agency.
