So if your loved is mostly independent, BUT they need to have proper meals and to have a LITTLE supervision, Essex House is the place. The personnel that was there when we moved mom in were wonderful and interacted with the residents. Some of them have since retired or quit. Unfortunately their replacements are not as accommodating to the residents. So my mom is concerned about having to move to a state facility or having to find a new place in general. \nOther than that concern, they're great people. Every time I've visited Essex they're super nice and they know me by name.
