A perfect place for mom
I picked Blossom Vale over the other places that I toured and looked at because they were friendly. The residents were friendly and said that they were happy and liked where they lived the value and the atmosphere was something that would make my mom more comfortable and my mother is very happy there.

Blossom Vale Senior Living brings modern elegance to an independent and assisted living community northeast of downtown Sacramento, California. Seniors have access to multiple hospitals within a 15-mile radius, including a Veterans hospital. Take in the beauty of the nearby nature preserve while walking along the small lake. Review for Blossom Vale Senior Living
I would say the housing is great, the food is not good, with little variety. Two other community leaders advised me to taste the food before moving in. Unfortunately, I let my mom down in that regard by not previewing the food. The staff has been very good to work through 'new resident' transition issues (My mom is not easy, and she is now settled in, thanks to[names removed.}

They need more staffing than they have currently. It seems they have new management, ownership, and staff. I believe this will be a good value for the money.
The community has a lot of activities for the residents to participate in. The common areas are clean; however, they are to be cleaning my loved one's room, and due to not enough staff they haven't been able to provide this on a consistent basis.
The bathing needs to be done a consistent basis as well.

Overall A Good Senior Program
It is a very home environment. I wish they would advance their skills in the office. Overall they know each other, the residents, and the community. They are very attentive.
The options for food isn't that often for the residents.

Nice, friendly home
Brookdale is a nice senior facility. The resident numbers are smaller than our last location so it seems friendlier. The staff has been great looking after Mom. [Name removed], the medico, has kept in touch and alerted us when things weren't going just right. She bent over backwards to get some medication in a hurry when Mom needed it.

KUDOS HALLOWEEN PARTY
What a super nice friendly place. One feels the camaraderie between the staff and the residents. Very clean, fresh, and a happy atmosphere. Hard to guess it is an old residents folks because we all have fun. The food is delicious
My Mom has been there since 2006. She loves it.
Tonight, Wed 25th, they had a terrific outside Halloween party where all children, relatives, and friends of the residents, staff, and neighborhood were invited. There was a big crowd, fun decorations, even classic cars had their trunk decorated, a haunted house, music & scary sounds, lots of goodies. It was a great great halloween party. kudos to all the staff they worked hard to make it a success. INDEED IT WAS.

Very Good
I feel that Brookdale is a very good community for the cost. The staff is very helpful and friendly for the most part. The food is pretty good, and the community is very clean. The other residents are very nice people as well, and my mom gets along well with them. She getting to know some of them very well. She really likes her little apartment here, even though it is one of the farthest from the dining area and she is getting more exercise than she used to. I would definitely recommend this community to others.

Brookdale Orangevale
Brookdale is as nice a place as any I've seen. The staff here is helpful, and they keep me updated on my father's care, the food is good, and they're willing to accommodate different dietary needs for the residents and visitors, they have a lot of different activities, and the community is kept very clean.

Everything is going great
From what my client has shared with me everything is going well. He is liking his new surroundings. He is going on outings with the other residents and he is enjoying live music when they have it. He says the food is good. He can go out with friends whenever he likes for lunch. The staff is friendly. This was a good choice for him.

I took a tour!!
I toured Brookdale Orangevale and thought it was a nice place. I was actually in contact with them for a year and they kept on changing their representatives which got a little confusing. We did not end up going with them because mom needed a memory care unit and they did not have one. Other than that, it was a nice place.

Great facility but not a fit for us!...
This place was very nice, staff was amazingly friendly and welcoming! The dining room had a set time for meals - we felt that that was a bit of a problem. The menu was terrific though! We liked the option of having a balcony/ patio!! Nice place!

BROOKDALE...."CROOKDALE"
Brookdale has raised it's prices 3% per year for the last 3 years since our Mother started living there. Now Brookdale wants to do all sorts of site & building improvements to the Orangevale property and starting in January, raise the monthly fee AGAIN, by a WHOPPING 7%!!! Meanwhile, Brookdale is cutting back on current staff's hours so they don't have to pay medical benefits, and also decreasing the number of "qualified" assisted living staff members to cut their overhead and increase "their" bottom line. Their food services have been reduced as well. I suggest asking A LOT of questions before considering Brookdale and signing any paperwork.
