The people were very nice and super overall. Reading their policies and everything, other patients weren't supposed to go into other rooms etc. But after his surgery I advised them was taking him home with me and they wouldn't allow it due to their policy as they had a 30 day policy to release him. So they wouldn't follow policy on the rooms as noted above, but when we had tried to take him home they wouldn't allow. Would seem as if they would pick and choose which policies to follow which didn't seem correct or right. Other than the issue noted, most everything was pretty well there even though were there for a short period of time.

Safe Caring Enviroment
My husband has been a resident at Celebration Villa (formally Elmcroft) for 2 1/2 years. I can honestly say that he receives excellent care and the attention to detail is always provided. I feel very comfortable in knowing that his dally needs are addressed and whenever I have a question, it is answered promptly. No one wants to place a loved one in a facility but if I had to do it all over again, I would make the same decision. Finally, the nursing staff and all of the aides are very nice and take their jobs seriously.

If I knew what I know now, I would have kept my loved one at home.
It was a nice place up on a hill, with a nice view and nice surroundings. But I don't know if they're trained to lie to you about how your loved one was doing. I would call all the time, and they would say "Oh, yeah, she's doing great." But in the end, the EMS guy said "She's really not doing great." I wasn't allowed to go inside to visit most of the time. I had only gotten to see her twice when they stopped in-person visiting. After that, all you could do was a window visit or Skype. The only places I saw inside were the front lobby and the visiting room, which really needed to be cleaned. The rug was dirty, and it smelled in there a little bit. Since I had limited access inside, I'm not sure what the care was like. I was getting phone calls all the time that she had fallen. And because they didn't see her fall, they had to call the ambulance. Each ambulance trip was expensive, and I'm not sure if insurance will pay for it, as it's still pending. They walked in and found her on the floor one morning. So I'm not sure how much care she was getting in the night. They made such a big deal about her going in there testing negative for Covid. So we went through the whole process of getting her tested and getting her moved in within 72 hours of her negative result. She ended up getting Covid at Elmcroft within a couple of months of being there. Her case was sever enough to send her to the hospital, where she passed away due to Covid. I kept getting emails from Elmcroft that this person has it, and this person has it - probably about 28 emails total. They're still sending me a bill for her last couple of days there. They're charging service charges on top of the bill. I feel like they don't have a heart. I'm not very happy with them. In the beginning they were nice. But when I came to visit, they would just say hello and take your temperature, and to me that's not enough. And now that my loved one has passed away, I've had problems with them returning my calls. Yet I'm still getting a bill for her last 2 days. I'm sure a lot of other homes are going through the same thing, but this Covid thing has just been really difficult.

Place sucks
The place sucks. The nurses are very rude they don't inform you on what's going on with your loved ones they do whatever they want to do this is the second incident that my mom has been her at the facility and nobody could tell me what's going on or how it happened. I've also been accused of sexual assault on their staff members. Now they want to backtrack and say that they've never said that the place is a joke I would never leave my parent at this facility [name removed] is a [language removed]. Like to talk [language removed] but then don't have no proof to back it up

Caring home!
I just would like to say what a great community for my loved one to live. As a family we had a difficult time giving up caring from my loved one. In the end we knew we made the right choice having mom live at Elmcroft. It is now her home and the staff makes us feel welcome. My mom is well cared for and she is engaged in activities throughout the day. We love Elmcroft and are happy to call it home.

Good place for respite care!
We used this place for a short respite stay for our loved one. Overall I thought they did a good job. The staff were all very friendly, and they take great care of the people who live here. The community has a lot going on, and they work hard to keep the patients engaged. My one complaint is that they could be a little more diligent when it comes to checking into complaints from the patients. My loved one complained about some pain she was having, and they just gave her a tylenol assuming it was arthritis, but it ended up being a rash that could have been treated more effectively.
