Edgemont Review
We love how Edgemont took care of our mom!
Beautiful facility, great for walkers, outside patio and waterfall are so peaceful and relaxing. Caring nurses and caregiver staff. Excellent food and the social activities are fun and engaging. We looked at many places for my mom and nothing compares to Edgemont place. The pricing was very reasonable as well. Once you visit it, you'll love it. Having the rooms furnished also helped a lot!

Extremely Poor Management!
Since they changed management companies and went away from Anthem, their level of service has taken a huge decline! Extremely poor communication! Rude and snotty staff members! Truly, their nursing staff and director do not know their head from their butt! Their new executive director came from Minot, ND, which is clear since she truly is in over her head trying to run a senior facility in a large suburb. Her communication skills are virtually none. When she does communicate, she doesn't listen to anything said to her, but then gets snide when challenged about our concerns.

Our experience at Edgemont Place
My loved one is currently a resident at Edgemont Place. The cleanliness, staff, and activities are very good. The best thing about this facility is the staff. They really listen to you. The worst thing about this facility is the lack of PCA's. The value for cost is poor.

Caring Staff That Truly Took Interest in My Loved One
The staff were wonderful and friendly to my loved ones. They provided a lot of activities for the residents to participate in and would make sure my loved one would be included in these.
The day after my loved one passed, the staff came up to the family to give their condolences and share photos and memories of our loved one with us.
There were three meals a day served to the residents and snacks were provided as well. The meals that the family saw looked very good that were provided.

Terrible care, no accountability, nobody in charge
After Anthem Memory Care purchased them in February 2022, care and quality went down hill. Staff was turned over, with new staff with little experience. Under their ownership we experienced 3 major unexplained injuries within 6 months, 2 resulting in broken bones and hospitalization. They have refused to give investigation reports blaming their legal department. Staff avoided contact with us after the last incident. We have moved our mom out of this facility.

Well worth the hunt
I think they are doing a fantastic job. There are tons of activities provided and lots of options for the residents. My mother raves about the food. It is just a very comforting place, you really feel like your loved one is well watched and taken care of. My mother is in a jack and jill room and it is a very nice size and has plenty of space for her. I would absolutely recommend Edgemont Place for those looking for memory care.

Advocate for your loved one
The cost has already gone up and I do not see her getting any extra care. Compared to other memory care facilities it is a good place, but as a whole there are big issues with many facility. Sometimes things that are promised are not always followed through with. You just need to advocate for your loved one.

Clean friendly well run center for Alzheimer patients.
I would recommend this community for my loved one. It has been a really good experience and he likes it a lot. They have activities like bingo and more and they also have one on one activities to meet the residents needs.

Everyone That Comes Here is Family
My loved ones were here, and they were able to work with hospice during the transition of one of my loved ones. I can't say enough good things about the community.
The community and hospice were great with communication of my loved one. The staff treated my family like family members of the community.

Great fit for mom
We chose Edgemont Place because our mom has Parkinson's and they specialize in not only Alzheimer's but Parkinson's as well. Also based on the reviews and feedback we saw we felt great about our choice. The room sizes at the facility are really good. The director of nursing is amazing, she is very accommodating, quick to respond, and very caring. All of the staff are great. I would highly recommend to others

It is definitely a friendly place. It is a good fit for my loved one.
There are times the rooms smells. It would be nice to have more staff promptness.
The activities include include socialization, daily activities, art and crafts, mini golf, and others for the residents to choose from.

Overall a good community but communication could be improved

A safe and caring home for dad
We are impressed that right when you walk through the front doors of the community you are not hit with any fowl smells, but we do wish our loved ones room was more clean. The staff members there are wonderful, and our loved one seems content enough. He says they take good care of him. We do understand these are unusual times, but our families biggest complaint would be the lack of communication. Sometimes we leave messaged over and over and we never receive a response back.

I wish I hadn't placed my mom there
Poor communication and when you ask questions the staff isn't always truthful. In the one year my mom has been there the administrative staff has completely turned over and the nursing staff has had turnover. I have also witnessed patients not having needs addressed promptly. The only nice thing I can say is the food is good and the rooms are nice.

Good care for my father
We like this new community and we are happy with the staff. The community is clean and maintained. The community offers a lot of healthy meals that my father seems to enjoy. The community has a nice environment for the residents. They do offer activities for those who can participate. We would recommend the care and the value of this newer community for other families and the care of a loved one.
