To provide care, you must first be certified.  At Desert Palm, we not only meet all current certified requirements,  We exceed them in many areas.  Our caregiver’s have many different responsibilities.  They must be able to deal with complications ranging from mild dementia to congestive heart failure.  You can remain confident that our staff is very skilled.  They are also great cooks and perform a wide variety of house cleaning duties.  From monitoring a resident’s  blood sugar to leading everyone in their daily exercise. Desert Palm is well able to exceed the expectations of your loved one.

Caring for somebody is and important responsibility.  In many assisted living facilities, you’ll find an unbalanced approach to care giving.  The staff-to-resident ratio is so low, it makes it nearly impossible to give the love and attention that is so desperately needed in this setting.

We feel that so much more is involved with taking care of a person than just giving them their medications or assisting them in the shower.  In our home, we always go the distance in making our residents part of our family.    

When caring for people, it is vital to pay attention to their emotional needs.  Making consistent efforts to ensure that a person’s dignity remains intact no matter what the circumstances.
