Our caregivers are called "Comfort Keepers" because they work hard everyday to "keep" our clients in the "comfort" of their home.
Comfort Keepers is an "employment model" non-medical home care agency. All of our caregivers are employees of Comfort Keepers and are residents of our local community.
Each employee caregiver is bonded and insured under Worker's Compensation and General Liability insurance while working with the client. Extensive background checks for criminal and motor vehicle history are conducted, as is required by both Comfort Keepers and the State of CT.
Comfort Keepers verifies employee eligibility to work in the U.S. and coordinates payroll, with all applicable taxes paid.
Comfort Keepers tracks the time a caregiver works in the home via a telephone time clock system. Comfort Keepers main office telephone 860-242-7739 is answered "live" 24/7/365 by our on call management staff.
Scheduling of Comfort Keepers services is flexible based on client need, ranging from the minimum of 2 hours per client, per visit to live-in or 24 hour care.
Comfort Keepers Client Care Coordinator/Nurse supervises the caregivers and communicates with clients and families. Prior to services beginning, Comfort Keepers requires a home visit and client assessment, a signed Client Care Agreement, Plan of Care and a refundable security deposit. Invoices are mailed weekly and are due on receipt. Rate quotes are based on the assessment of the prospective client, along with the schedule, services and caregiver needed.
Clients or their representatives wishing to utilize a long term care or other insurance policy are responsible for verifying their eligibility and the claims/reimbursement process of their insurer.
Please contact Comfort Keepers to schedule a home visit and client assessment, or to ask any questions you may have. We are available to meet and discuss Comfort Keepers solutions for In-Home Care - all with no obligation.
