Recommend without reservations!
I just believe that we have been blessed to find Bradenton Oaks - well, we didn't find it - the staff at A Place for Mom found it for us! The staff at Bradenton Oaks are so friendly and helpful! All the residents seem to be real friendly with each other, as well! Everybody loves the food and I've seen them line up early for lunch! The executive director is also very nice and helpful! Pass my comments along! I would absolutely recommend Bradenton Oaks!

Unexpected but appreciated empathy and patience
In our initial meeting with [name removed] to explore the possibility of having our parents become residents, we were pleasantly surprised by her compassionate consideration of our needs and fears. She gave us information and suggestions to help support our mother after our father passes (he is in hospice care with stage 5 CKD). When we brought our parents in for a tour and assessment, our mother was unexpectedly defensive and irritable. [name removed] responded to her with patience and respect that gave us confidence that she would be treated respectfully as a resident. Thank you [name removed]!

Friendly staff that seem to care
My wife and I looked around long and hard to find the right place for her active 95 year old Dad.
We found Bradenton Oaks fit his lifestyle and needs. The people are very friendly and helpful.
There is always room for improvement anywhere but all in all we are pleased considering these trying times of Covid and employee problems.

Bradenton Oaks is a place that your loved one will love
Very well kept community and the people and staff are friendly. They do the best to help out the residents. They may not do every little thing but they cover the majority of everything. This is a very nice community for your loved one.

False Advertising
I would tell others that memory care is not at all what they advertise. They really don't have any programs to assist with memory care activities. They don't take the residents outside to enjoy the outdoors. It is not something I would recommend. I would suggest you look around before coming before to the community.

You get what you pay for
When they tell you that they will provide you rides to your doctor appointments, the will not do it. They claim they have no bus, and they will not get the bus fixed. There's supposed to be someone there to order your groceries, and she's only been able to do it once or twice since November. The staff has only called me once, and that was to tell me my loved one was in the hospital. The rest of the time I haven't had any calls. The food is absolutely horrible. My loved one enjoys playing bingo there, and that makes her happy.

Someone please help
No stars. This is about my mother. We cant see her without notice and the visit is in a storage room. Started a couple weeks ago. Got a call saying she was on her way to the e.r. from seizures. I showed up to meet them. Dirty clothes, smelled, greasy. Bruises everywhere. Made note of clothes and appearance. Everything came back fine and was released back. Three days later she's back in the e.r. Same clothes, same exact bloody cotton balls and tape the nurse put on after removing her multiple iv ports. She's in again today. Appr a week later. Found unresponsive in her room. Completely unrelated to why she was sent to the e.r, she can't sit up in her bed because her hip hurts so bad. Can't walk. The ambulance driver was told she fell two days ago and hasn't been right since. The ambulance driver told the receiving nurse/doctor. Two days she's laid in her bed like this and they send her because she's unresponsive?!?!? Her inability to move didn't raise a red flag?!?!?!?! Asked for her medication, medical, shower, care records on the way to the e.r. and was refused. Was told by [name removed] they didn't have to keep record of any of it and if they did they wouldn't provide it either way. Go in and ask yourself. Please don't take my word for it. She's in the memory care facility. Sunday and around 4p.m. when I stopped for her records I asked to speak with anyone in charge. Nurse told me it was just them that there was no one there to talk to.

Clean but unhappy
For anyone looking into Bradenton Oaks, I would want them to know that the tech nurses do not know what they are doing. They were confused about medication for my father and they were 90% of the time unfriendly. A lot of their medicines went out of stock especially on weekends and holidays. The food was awful, everything tasted like it was out of a box and watered down. I would recommend only if you understood the above issues.

I toured this community prior to Covid. It was clean and staff members were very helpful. They communicated well with the residents and you cold see the love and compassion they have for them. After researching other communities I did decided to place my husband here. They stay in constant communication with me. This place was very dirty! Floors were awful, grounds not attractive. The Managed Care Neighorhood was better, as they are currently going through a remodel with fresh paint, new furniture, etc. Staff ignored me until I found someone to ask for my appointment, who wasn't there on time. I did like the activities she described, and those who were living there seemed satisfied. However, no longer interested in anywhere outside of Sun City FL.

A nice community!!
This is a good community and you get more for your money. The room they showed us during our tour was larger than the community we choose but the other community has more of a family atmosphere. I would have chosen this community but the one we chose was offering a good move in deal.
