starting off experience was not that bad, but I found out that they just couldn’t handle [Name Removed]. I spent more time at the nursing home trying to teach them what her needs were and things like that she was only there for six days and ended up in the hospital spent seven days in the hospital and when she returned, she passed within four days I agreed to the pricing, but it just didn’t seem right. You have to pay an extra 14 days from the time you leave so out of the month they really only took care of her for roughly 14 days but then you have to pay into the next month, so I was not real satisfied with the facility, but I would also have to admit that she was not there long enough to see how it would work out I do hope this pretty much makes sense to you and thank you for asking to take the survey. Our game room offers opportunities to get to know your neighbors during a game of bridge, bingo, Rummikub, or video games. Our living room is a perfect space for conversations by the fireplace, or an opportunity to play on our grand piano. You can check out a book from our private library, or join friends in our movie theater to watch a favorite film.</p> <p>Many in our community look forward to our scheduled activities. We offer volunteer opportunities and intergenerational programs so you can connect with our larger community. To stay fit, we provide a variety of fitness classes, including water aerobics. We offer music therapy and pet therapy, and weekly religious services for those who are spiritually inclined.</p> <p>In our community, food is an experience and yet another social activity. You can take advantage of our shopping and errand service, and we offer transportation for events and other excursions. It’ll be easy for you to look your best when you use our on-site full-service salon. When friends or family come to visit, we can accommodate them in our guest suite.</p> <p>We are committed to providing high-quality care, whether you are joining us in assisted living or our secure memory care community. We’ll begin with an initial assessment when you move in, conducted by one of our registered nurses to determine which level of care will benefit you the most. You’ll also have periodic assessments to make sure that your care needs haven’t changed. Regardless of the care we give you, we’ll always provide medication management.</p> <p>Supportive care offers verbal reminders by one of our caregivers to complete important daily tasks, such as grooming. Assistive care includes reminders and observation to make sure that you’re able to successfully complete the task, with hands-on help for challenging tasks. Comprehensive care places the responsibility of daily living tasks on our caregivers. We’ll let you know when it’s time to do something, and provide enough hands-on assistance to make sure you stay safe and supported. Our assisted living apartments are available in various sizes, with studio and one-bedroom options. You’ll enjoy a kitchenette in your apartment, perfect for keeping favorite snacks and beverages on hand. Our memory care apartments are available in private or semi-private suites.</p> <h3>Care Types Offered</h3> <p>Addington Place of Clarkston is an <em>adult foster care facility</em>, which in the state of Michigan is a facility that provides foster care for adults who are aged, mentally ill, developmentally disabled, or physically disabled who require supervision on an ongoing basis but who do not require continuous nursing care. Foster care means the provision of supervision, personal care, and protection in addition to room and board, for 24 hours a day, 5 or more days a week, and for 2 or more consecutive weeks.</p> <p>Addington Place of Clarkston is also designated as a <em>home for the aged</em>, which in the state of Michigan is a supervised personal care facility that provides room, board, and supervised personal care to 21 or more residents that are 55 years or older.
