Anam Care of Rockford is located just minutes off of I90. Anam Care is dedicated to enhancing, enriching and improving the life style of those individuals who experience loss of memory from diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.

Established in 2004, by Bernie Marinelli, a Registered Nurse, and Nursing Home Administrator. Ms. Marinelli has over 25 years of experience in senior care and dementia.

An Irish term meaning “Soul Friend”, Anam Care is a small group home of 24 residents.

We are proud to announce the opening of our “Patio Homes”. These beautiful condos are handicap accessible, maintenance free and meals are available.

The Anam staff is expertly trained in dementia care, behavioral management and how to create a loving, gracious life style for those special people we serve.

The home décor has rich earth tones and comfortable furnishings; our Dining Room theme is a “French Country” motif, which is as warm and inviting as the delicious food prepared by our Chef.

Our medical staff is lead by Dr. Juliette Kalweit, our Medical Director, who developed the expert clinical program specific to memory loss. Nursing is available 24 hours per day.
