Senior Housing Laws & Regulations in Canada

Senior Housing Laws and Regulations in Canada

One challenge for families who are searching for licensed retirement homes, assisted living, and long-term care homes is that it's not always easy to find information about the licensing and background of communities that they are exploring.

In some provinces, public versions of inspection reports and complaint investigations conducted at licensed communities are available online.

We've compiled a directory of licensing websites by province, where you can find regulation standards in your province as well as individual community inspection summaries and violation histories.
