What an interesting week in senior news!

Senior Living July 23rd Weekly in ReviewFrom the baby boomer presence in the 2012 Senior Olympics in TN—revealing elderly prowess in basketball, cycling, swimming, track, and more—to the latest news on the government’s next steps for national Alzheimer’s plans; this week hasn’t been dull.

A Place for Mom recently focused on getting the word out to promote pet-friendly assisted living, and we’re happy to say that the nation has followed! Pet organizations, such as The Humane Society, PAWS, SPCA and Paws in the City across the U.S. have helped us promote our effort and pet-friendly assisted living articles and media have a strong presence in today’s news.

We also recently launched senior living guides for different areas across the U.S. Families can find local senior living costs, discounts, volunteer opportunities, community programs, meal services, education, public transportation, local hospitals or senior living accommodations to help them. More region guides are coming, so if you don’t see your area featured, be sure to check back!
